A self-described contemporary realist painter, Robin Harris is fascinated with the movement of various liquids. Many of her paintings feature drips and drops, splashes and flows. She especially enjoys metaphorical compositions fusing disparate and often contrasting elements with subtle humor to provide occasionally startling insights into everyday life.

Robin’s passion for painting began when she was young. Private lessons and a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design helped refine her unique style and fuel her commitment—and proved her passion to be anything but short-lived. She co-founded Harris Design Inc. (an advertising, marketing and graphic design firm in the Washington, DC area) nearly 30 years ago, but her abiding delight has remained the works created in her “off hours.”
