My paintings explore still life through a surreal realist lens, using positive and negative space to suggest movement within moments of quiet. Though grounded in realism, the work relies on subtle motion, rhythm, and compositional tension to animate familiar forms.

I focus on objects that offer comfort and hold personal history. These intimate items carry memory and presence, transforming ordinary still life into a space of emotional resonance. Movement remains essential, not as action, but as a felt experience shaped by suggestion and pause.

The work invites the viewer into an engaged moment of looking, where meaning unfolds through attention. In this shared space between object, memory, and perception, engagement itself becomes the art.

Based in Charlottesville Virginia, my work has been exhibited in multiple juried exhibitions, including the International Guild of Realism, International Society of Acrylic Painters, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, American Women Artists, Touchstone Gallery, Glave Kocen Gallery, Taubman Museum of Art and Strathmore Museum and Kenosha Museum.
